Privacy Policy

Short version

Husk is a chat widget that runs on your website. We do not set cookies, we do not use third-party trackers, and we do not sell data — ever, to anyone, for any reason. We are GDPR and CCPA compliant.

What we collect

• Conversation messages.The text a visitor types into the widget and the answer Husk replies with. We store these so site owners can see the questions their site isn't answering. Retention: 365 days, then deleted.
• Visitor email (optional). Only if a visitor chooses to leave one when asking for human follow-up. Used solely to email them back.
• Page URL the chat happened on. So site owners know which page a question came from.
• Coarse country (from IP, not stored). Used for region-aware responses and immediately discarded.

What we do not collect

• No cookies. Not session, not analytics, not advertising.
• No fingerprinting, no device IDs, no canvas hashing.
• No third-party scripts loaded inside the widget.
• No IP address logging beyond the request lifetime needed to respond.

Where data lives

Conversations are stored in a Postgres database hosted in the EU (Frankfurt region). Email delivery uses Resend. AI inference runs on OpenAI / Anthropic infrastructure under standard zero-data-retention enterprise terms — your conversations are not used to train any model.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

• Access. Email hello@huskchat.com and we'll send you everything tied to your email or conversation ID within 30 days.
• Deletion. Same address. We delete on request, no questions, within 30 days.
• Portability. JSON export available on request.
• Objection. You can object to processing at any time and the chat will simply not function for you on that site.

Children

Husk is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top and email anyone with an active Husk account at least 7 days before the change takes effect.
